Compass Onboarding Process

  • Professional photography is scheduled and processed. It typically takes between 7-12 days for Compass to receive the photography from the photographer.

  • The Onboarding Specialist then reviews all photography, organizes the photography for publication, and tiers the property. This typically takes 1-2 days.

  • Once the photographs are uploaded the Compass copy writer composes the property description. This typically take 2-3 days.

  • Owner information including all banking and tax information, property details including bed sizes and view, location details including GPS coordinates and mapping capabilities, and community amenities including pools and fitness rooms are entered into Compass’s property management software. There are approximately 100 to 140 individual fields to complete within the property management software before Compass can start to build the channels to all OTA’s (Online Travel Agents). This typically takes 1-2 days. The property can now go live on the Compass website, www.compassrentals.com

  • Compass builds all the channels to the eight (8) OTA’s. Compass is dependent on a number of third parties to assist in this process. This typically takes 3-5 days. Some OTA’s can take up to 10 days to publish the listing. Some sites such as the Expedia suite of sites only publish based on demand. This means you will not always see your listing on these sites. You will only see your listing when Expedia deems there is demand from the consumers.
